Midweek Reset: Mama, Give Yourself Grace 🤎

Block Island "2024"

It’s Wednesday, and somewhere a mom is already tired. Some of us have already sent our babies back to school, while others are still preparing for that first day. We’re shopping for the last few supplies, laying out clothes, figuring out morning routines, checking school emails, filling out forms, planning lunches, adjusting work schedules, and trying to remember the hundred little things that somehow come with a new school year. And while we’re busy preparing them for their next chapter, many of us are quietly preparing for our own.

Maybe you’re working toward a degree, building a business, starting over financially, working long hours, healing from something nobody knows about, or simply trying to become a better version of yourself. Maybe you’re carrying responsibilities that don’t stop just because you’re tired. You’re still Mom. You’re still needed. You still have bills, deadlines, goals, appointments, meals to make, and a future you’re trying to build. But somewhere in the middle of all that hustle, remember to give yourself grace.

You don’t have to have everything figured out today. You can be calm and still be ambitious. You can rest and still be disciplined. You can move slowly and still be moving forward. You can have a hard morning and still have a beautiful day. And you can be an amazing mother while still having dreams, goals, and a life that belongs to you too.

There is a difference between rushing through life and being intentional about where you’re going. This season, choose intention. Be almost militant about protecting your future, your peace, your time, and the things you know you’re meant to accomplish. That doesn’t mean becoming hard or putting unnecessary pressure on yourself. It means becoming focused. It means understanding that every small decision you make today is helping shape the life you’re praying for tomorrow.

Take it one school morning at a time, one assignment at a time, one workday at a time, one prayer at a time, and one goal at a time. You don’t have to conquer the entire week before Wednesday afternoon. Handle what is in front of you, give what you can, and allow yourself to be human along the way.

And remember, our children are watching more than how perfectly we pack their backpacks or how smoothly we get everyone out of the house in the morning. They’re watching us keep going. They’re watching us make mistakes, regroup, pray, learn, work, rest, and try again. They’re watching what perseverance looks like in real life, and that may be one of the greatest lessons we ever teach them.

So whether your babies have already started school or you’re preparing to send them off soon, give them a little extra grace during this transition. And Mama, please save some of that grace for yourself too. Take your time. Breathe. Stay focused. Protect your peace. Be disciplined about the future you’re creating, but gentle with the woman who is creating it.

You are allowed to build the future you want without destroying your peace trying to get there. Keep showing up. Keep believing. Keep planting those seeds, even on the days when you can’t see anything growing yet. Your children are growing, you are growing, and this next season may be preparing all of you for something beautiful.

Happy Wednesday, Mama. Give yourself grace, stay focused, and keep going. Your future is still waiting for you. 🤎
